Please note that the Snow Village will be open only Thursday 14, Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 March. The village will be closed for the 2013 season Sunday, March 17 at 6PM.

March break at the Snow Village

Bundle up the kids and put the cap to the Parc Jean-Drapeau to discover the beautiful Snow Village. For its second edition, the Snow Village takes the appearance of New York with snow buildings and monuments that replicate the ones of the Big Apple. In addition, there are five igloos, an ice hotel with 20 rooms, an heated dome : the 24h Icebreaker heated dome, Jägermeister ice bar, Pommery ice restaurant and an ice chapel.

During the spring break, from March 2 to March 17, 2013, its free entrance for the kids under 12 year old and the Snow Village prepares a flurry of activities with the mascot SNORO and Adélard the storyteller of the Snow Village. Children can try the new slide entirely made out of ice and snow, treasure hunt, Norwegian sleds and inflatable toys. To warm up, we offer dance sessions on the outdoor stage and fireworks every Saturday at 19:30.

Two thematic weekends are scheduled

- The sculptors weekend on 2-3 March 2013 (workshops and demonstrations of ice sculptures)

- The mascots weekend on 9-10 March 2013 (the presence of a dozen mascots on the terrace from 13:00 to 17:00).

Wim Hof, also known as “The Iceman” became famous after his exploits and his 20 World Guinness records involving extreme cold. His prowess includes climbing Mount Everest and Kilimanjaro in shorts and shoes and only a half-marathon barefoot in the arctic pole

During his visit at the Snow Village, The Iceman will attempt to prove that any man can survive in extreme cold situation simply with the power of the mind. It will be a meditation session in a glass box filled with ice for one hour.

In reference to the famous Studio 54 nightclub in New York, the Jägermeister ice bar will turns into a nightclub disco from 21:00 with a guest disco electro DJ. Disco attire is required.
